Meet Our Team

Nick Stone

Nick is the founder of Alaris Corporate Finance in 2003, which he launched with the support of the Cavendish management team and building one of the leading SME advisories in the UK.  He has nearly 30 years of experience in corporate finance successively advising European SMEs on both the sell and buy side.

Nick qualified as a Chartered Accountant with PwC London. Later Nick joined the corporate finance department of the Nordbanken group advising international public and private companies in Europe across industrial sectors.

Nick then joined Cavendish in 1995, where he was subsequently appointed Director, M&A. At Cavendish, Nick completed corporate M&A transactions across a broad range of sectors.

Nick has a degree from Durham University ​in Natural Science.

Jon Stone

Jon has a wealth of experience in accounting, financial services, publishing and consulting.

After qualifying as a Chartered Accountant with PwC Jon joined Barclays Bank PLC holding a number of senior finance roles in its Invesment Banking Division.

​

Jon became Group Treasurer of Barclays Bank PLC and led the Group’s hedging, funding, debt financing and investor relations. Jon was also involved in a number of corporate transactions and led the sale of Barclays Infrastructure Funds Management to 3i PLC.

​

Later Jon was President of Energy Intelligence an international news, publishing, data and consulting business in the oil and gas sector. He is also an investor with interest in Fintech, Blockchain and Next Generation Media.

Jon is also a trustee and the treasurer of the Climate Bonds Initiative, a NGO leading the mobilisation the $100 trillion bond market for climate change and Our Time, a charity supporting children who’s parents have mental health challenges.

Mark Fancett

Mark is a corporate development professional with over 30 years experience in M&A, strategy and investor relations.

Previously in Corporate Development Director roles at TDG BPLC, Impellam Group PLC Swissport, and more recently with Alaris. Mark has advised and delivered a wide range of acquisitions and disposals across the UK and Continental Europe. His transaction experience incudes Business to Business (BtoB), Logistics & Transportation, Infrastructure, Recruitment and Consumer & Luxury Goods.

Make is a graduate of Durham University (BA) and holds a MBA from CASS ( now Bayes) Business School, University of London. 

Monika Bryndzej

Monika has over seventeen years experience as a Chartered Accountant in financial services working across a broad range of different companies in the sector.

After qualifying with Arthur Andersen in Australia, Monika moved to the UK to broaden her career holding a number of roles within the FS sector including metal, insurance and equities brokerage businesses. She then spent a year in Tokyo where she returned to the profession with PwC providing tax advice to European and American expatriates.

Monika also worked in New York with Barclays Bank Plc in the Financial Accounting Group before returning to the UK where she has gained experience in hedge fund management and investor relations firms before joining a private equity placement advisory firm as its Finance Director.  During the six years in this role, Monika was responsible for building and developing the firm’s Finance function as the business expanded into the US, Asia and Europe whilst continuing to build its presence in the UK, trebling in size during this period.

Monika holds Batchelor of Business (With Distinction) from Curtain University.
