Maison Blanc

Maison Blanc

acquired by

Kout Food Group

Alaris acted for the owners of Maison Blanc a French Boulangerie and Patisserie created by Michelin star chef Raymond Blanc and Jenny Blanc in 1981.

The business opened its first site in Oxford and expanded to 12 sites, principally in London. It also had a central bakery in Park Royal where it made cakes, breads and viennoiseries.  In addition to supplying its own sites, Maison Blanc developed a wholesale operation supplying coffee chains such as Starbucks.

The business was subsequently acquired by a large food group which was owned by Warburton’s and Montagu Capital.

Alaris introduced Maison Blanc to the Kout Food Group, based in Kuwait, with an extensive middle-eastern and retail business interests. The group was looking to expand into the UK and the acquisition of Maison Blanc was their first investment.

The transaction highlighted Alaris’s unique insight into the buyer landscape and it’s research capabilities to build a comprehensive buyer pool.  This helps our clients to achieve the optimal opportunity and value for their business.
